Residential Services Columbus, OH

Carpentry is the foundation of every renovation. When framing is square and plumb, everything else falls into place—doors swing freely, trim fits tight, and drywall stays smooth for years. We take the time to get the structure right.

Questions About Carpentry Services

Can you remove load-bearing walls?

Yes. We're licensed to do structural work. When a load-bearing wall comes out, we install a properly sized header or beam to carry the load. We pull permits, schedule inspections, and bring in an engineer if the span or load requires it. The finished result is an open floor plan that's structurally sound.

Yes. Once framing is done and inspections pass, we hang and finish drywall, install trim, and paint everything out. One crew from studs to finished walls - no handoffs, no waiting on other contractors.

Usually, yes. Standard profiles are stocked at lumber yards. Older or custom profiles can be matched through millwork suppliers or custom-run at a shop. We take a sample of your existing trim, find the closest match, and let you know the options before ordering anything.

Both. We put one coat on trim before it goes up, then install it. After that, we caulk joints, fill nail holes, and apply the final coat. Caulk has to be painted or it yellows over time. This approach gives you clean coverage on all faces and tight seams that stay white.

Trim carpentry covers the standard stuff - baseboards, door and window casing, crown molding. Millwork is the more detailed work - wainscoting, wall paneling, coffered ceilings, built-in bookcases, fireplace surrounds. Millwork usually involves custom pieces or more complex layouts.

No deposit for labor. You pay when the work is done. For projects with significant lumber or material costs - like a basement framing package or custom millwork order - we may ask for materials upfront so we can get everything on site and start on schedule.
