Residential Services Columbus Ohio
We install, repair, and replace Hardie Board and fiber cement siding for homes across Columbus and Central Ohio. Fiber cement is one of the most durable siding materials on the market. It holds paint longer than wood, won't rot or warp, and looks more like real wood than vinyl ever will. We've done full siding replacements in Dublin, Blacklick, Reynoldsburg, and throughout Columbus. New installs, tear-offs, partial repairs, and rot replacement. Licensed general contractor, fully insured, and familiar with what it takes to get fiber cement installed right.
Hardie Board / Fiber Cement Siding Installation & Repair
James Hardie fiber cement siding is the most popular brand for a reason. It doesn’t rot like wood, looks better than vinyl, and holds paint far longer than either. It’s the go-to for homeowners who want a higher-end look without the maintenance of real wood. It’s also non-combustible, pest-resistant, and rated to withstand high winds. For Ohio’s freeze-thaw cycles and humidity swings, it’s one of the best exterior cladding options available.
We install HardiePlank lap siding, HardiePanel vertical siding, and Hardie 1x trim. ColorPlus factory-finished options come with a 15-year finish warranty from James Hardie. If you’re replacing old wood siding, aluminum, or worn-out vinyl, fiber cement is a long-term upgrade that adds value and cuts down on future maintenance.
Full installs usually take one to two weeks depending on the size of the house and how much rot repair is involved. We handle the demo, haul-off, and cleanup. One crew from start to finish.
Our Process
Fiber cement siding requires proper handling and installation to perform the way it should. Boards need to be cut clean, fastened correctly, and sealed at every joint and penetration. We follow manufacturer installation specs because cutting corners leads to problems down the road. Here’s how we approach it.

Inspection & Prep
We start by inspecting the existing siding, sheathing, and housewrap. If there's rot or water damage underneath, we address it before new siding goes on. We check flashing around windows, doors, and penetrations. Old caulk gets removed. Surfaces get cleaned. Everything has to be solid and dry before we start hanging boards.

Install & Fasten
Fiber cement is heavy and brittle. It has to be cut with the right tools and handled carefully. We use blind nailing where possible, proper fastener spacing, and leave the right gap at joints for caulk. Corners, trim, and transitions get installed tight. Cut edges and any unprimed surfaces get sealed before they go up.

Seal & Finish
All joints, butt ends, and penetrations get caulked with a quality sealant. Cut edges get field painted to seal them. If the siding needs paint after install, we handle that too. Check out our exterior painting page for more on coatings and finishes. Finished product looks clean and is sealed against moisture from every angle.
