Framing (Rough Carpentry)
Framing is the skeleton of every renovation. When it’s square, plumb, and properly supported, everything else falls into place — drywall hangs flat, doors swing freely, and floors stay level. When it’s not, you end up with cracks, sticking doors, and problems that show up months after the job is done.
We frame partition walls, install headers for new openings, and handle load-bearing modifications with proper engineering and permits. Basement buildouts, room additions, closet reconfigurations, and structural repairs. We also rough in for electrical, plumbing, and HVAC so the trades have what they need when they show up.
Our Process
Framing work has to be right before anything else can happen. Drywall, trim, doors, flooring — all of it depends on the frame being square and solid. We take the time to get the structure right so the rest of the job goes smoothly. Here’s how we approach it.

Layout & Planning
We mark out the walls, openings, and any structural elements on the floor and ceiling. Double-check measurements, verify load paths, and confirm placement of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC rough-ins. If permits are required, we pull them before any work starts.

Frame & Fasten
Walls go up plumb and square. Headers get sized and supported correctly. We use proper fasteners, blocking for cabinets and fixtures, and fire stops where required by code. Load-bearing work gets inspected before we close anything up.

Inspection & Handoff
We call for inspections on any permitted work. Once framing passes, the structure is ready for insulation, drywall, and the next phase. Clean site, documented work, and a solid frame to build on.
