Residential Services Columbus Ohio
Drywall hanging for new construction, remodels, additions, and repairs across Columbus and Central Ohio. Boards hung tight, flat, and ready for finish.
Drywall Hanging
We hang drywall for basements, additions, new rooms, and full renovations. Standard 1/2″ board, 5/8″ for ceilings and fire-rated assemblies, moisture-resistant board for bathrooms and kitchens. Boards get hung tight to the framing with proper fastener patterns, staggered joints, and butt joints placed where they’re easiest to finish. Clean work that makes the finisher’s job easier.
Whether it’s one room or a whole house, we measure, cut, and hang with the finish in mind. Tight seams, clean cutouts, no gaps. The goal is walls that are flat and ready for tape without a bunch of extra work to fix sloppy hanging.
Our Drywall Installation Process
Hanging drywall right the first time saves hours of finishing work later. Here’s how we approach it.

Framing Check
Before any board goes up, we check the framing. Studs need to be straight, plumb, and spaced correctly. Bowed studs get shimmed or replaced. We check for backing where it's needed — around windows, doors, and anywhere cabinets or fixtures will mount. Electrical and plumbing should be done and inspected. Problems are easier to fix before the drywall covers them.

Measuring & Cutting
We measure and cut boards to minimize seams and put butt joints where they're least visible and easiest to finish. Ceilings go up first, then walls. Openings for outlets, switches, and fixtures get cut clean. Tight cuts around windows and doors. Gaps mean more mud later, so we take the time to fit it right.

Hanging & Fastening
Boards get lifted tight to the ceiling or previous row and fastened with screws at the right spacing. No overdriven screws, no missed studs, no loose boards. Joints get staggered so seams don't stack. Corner bead goes on outside corners. By the time we're done, the walls are flat, tight, and ready for tape and mud.
