Finish Carpentry
Finish carpentry is the detail work that makes a room look complete. It’s what separates a professional renovation from a DIY job. We install baseboards that sit flat to the floor, crown that follows the ceiling line without gaps, and door casings with miters that actually close. If your existing trim is damaged, outdated, or just builder-grade MDF that’s falling apart, we replace it with something better.
We also build and install custom pieces — built-in shelving, window seats, mantels, closet systems, and anything else that needs to be cut and fit on site. If you’re finishing a basement, adding a room, or remodeling, we handle the trim work that completes the job.
Our Process
Finish carpentry is measured in fractions of an inch. Gaps show, bad miters stand out, and paint won’t hide sloppy cuts. We take the time to get it right so the finished product looks like it belongs in the house. Here’s how we approach it.

Measure & Layout
We measure the room and note any walls or floors that are out of level or square — most are. This affects how trim gets scribed and cut. We figure out where pieces will meet, where transitions happen, and what order things get installed. Good planning means fewer visible seams and cleaner joints.

Cut & Fit
Trim gets cut to fit each wall, not just measured and hoped for. Miters get test-fit before anything gets nailed. Crown molding gets coped or mitered depending on the application. Baseboards get scribed to follow uneven floors. We use finish nailers and proper fastening so nothing pulls away from the wall later.

Fill & Finish
Nail holes get filled. Joints get caulked where trim meets walls or ceilings. Any gaps get addressed before paint. The goal is seamless — when we're done, the trim should look like it was always there. Ready for primer and paint with no extra prep needed.
