Questions About Remodeling & Renovation
What's the typical timeline for a remodel?
Depends on scope. Bathrooms usually run 2-3 weeks. Kitchens are 3-5 weeks. Basements range from 4-8 weeks depending on size and complexity. Full home renovations vary widely - we'll give you a realistic timeline after we see the space and understand what you want.
What happens if you find unexpected problems during the project?
We stop and show you before moving forward. Older homes sometimes have surprises behind the walls - rot, outdated wiring, plumbing issues. We'll explain what we found, give you options, and get approval before adding anything to the scope.
What does a free estimate include?
We come out, look at the space, talk through what you want, and give you a written quote with real numbers. No pressure, no follow-up calls every day, no pushy sales people. If it works for you, we'll get it scheduled.
Can you handle electrical and plumbing?
We coordinate licensed electricians and plumbers we've worked with for years. They show up when they're supposed to, do quality work, and we handle the scheduling so you're not making those calls yourself.
Do you require a deposit?
No deposit for labor. You pay for work after it's done, not before. On larger projects, we may ask for materials to be paid upfront so we can get everything on site and stay on schedule. We'll go over payment terms before any work starts.
Do you pull permits?
Yes. As a licensed general contractor, we pull permits when the job requires it and schedule inspections. We don't cut corners on code work. It protects you and it protects the house.
